A growing number of institutions are wondering how to attract and interest Millennials (Generation Y). In Laval, Éco-Nature has opted for a digital canoe route to help visitors explore the Rivière des Mille Îles. Using a downloadable interactive map, participants follow an itinerary dotted with 15 theme-based stations on the sector’s animal and plant life. An interactive terminal in the new interpretation centre completes the experience. In addition to discovering biodiversity, visitors can identify the actions taken to preserve these natural habitats and activities enabling them to contribute to environmental action.
